Hybrid Intelligence Systems and Applications (HISA 2009)

Call for Papers

– 27 March 2009

Papers are invited for Special Session on any aspect of Hybrid Intelligence Systems to be presented at a three day International Conference to be held in Cambridge, England.

Full Paper (six pages of A4 with figures) are invited on any aspect of Hybrid Intelligence Systems (design and applications) before the Deadline, 01 December  2008. Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society press and will appear in the IEEE Digital Library.

Selected papers will be considered for publication in several reputed international journals.

Scope and Area

Original work based on reporting the integration or fusion of one or more algorithms and systems:

  • Evolutionary algorithms
  • Genetic algorithms
  • Fuzzy evolutionary algorithms
  • Fuzzy Controllers
  • Fuzzy optimization rules
  • Simultaneous optimization of neural network weights and architectures.
  • Swam Optimization
  • Evolutionary artificial neural network ensembles.
  • Recurrent neural networks optimization with hybrid learning algorithms
  • Design and development of  Hybrid Controllers (Nero-Fuzzy, Genetic Fuzzy,  Nero-Fuzzy-Genetic Controllers)
  • Hybrid Intelligent systems applications to Image Processing, Signal Processing, VLSI, routing, Computer networks, Protocol design, Robotics

·        Development of Hybrid Algorithms

·        Artificial Intelligence.

Scope is not limited to above mentioned areas.

The registration fee is $495. This will include a copy of the proceedings, refreshments and lunch.

STUDENT SPONSORSHIP: A number of discounted registration-fees of $250, reduced from $395, are available for high-equality ‘student’ papers, i.e. papers whose first author is enrolled on a recognised postgraduate taught or research programme as verified by an electronic letter from his project supervisor emailed to Dr Brentnall (conference program chair). Authors who wish their papers to be considered for such reduction must include the term ‘Student Paper’ in a separate line before the title on the first page.

.

Accommodation in College: graduates from Cambridge colleges go on to become leading world scientists, prime ministers, parliamentarians and top civil servants. Share the experience of living-in by staying in college rooms. An all inclusive full-board 3-day package is available for $570, single occupancy. This includes a meal on the evening before the conference, all meals/conference dinner on day 1 and day 2  (including conference pre-dinner reception), and breakfast and lunch on day 3. For those wishing to eat outside, a Bed & Breakfast 3 day package is available at $350 single occupancy. A limited number of en-suite rooms is also available on full board basis at $690 for a 3 day package, single occupancy. Booking and pre-payment is essential, see EDAS Registration.

Submission Guidelines

You are invited to submit:  full paper of 6 pages (A4 format) for oral presentation in special session,

Submissions must be original, unpublished work containing new and interesting results that demonstrate current research in all areas of Hybrid Intelligence Systems and their applications in science, technology, business and commerce. The proceedings of the Conference will be published by the IEEE Computer Society. The conference is jointly organized by EUROSIM and UK Simulation Society and is co-sponsored by:

-         -        IEEE UK &RI Computer Chapter

-         -        EUROSIM

-         -        European Council for Modeling & Simulation

-         -        Society for Computer Simulation Int. (SCS)- Europe.

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. All papers are to be submitted electronically,- see full instructions under Paper Submission below, in PDF or Word format. All papers will be peer reviewed by at least three independent referees of the international program committee.
